How old do I need to be to rent a car?

The minimum driver age is 23 years. You need a valid category B driver’s license. Foreign licenses are accepted as long as they are valid and clearly readable for the entire rental period.

Is the car insured?

Yes, all cars come with all-risk (WA Casco+) insurance as standard. A €500 deductible applies per damage incident. You can reduce the deductible to €0 for €13.50 per day; for rentals under 7 days you pay a flat €94.50. Note: tire damage and loss of the car keys are not covered — we offer tire insurance for €3 per day.

How does the deposit work?

No credit card or large deposit is required. We only ask for a €50 deposit as a guarantee for refueling and returning the car clean. You get it back immediately when returning the car.

Can I pick up the car at the airport?

Yes! For rentals of 7 days or longer we deliver and collect the car free of charge at Hato Airport or your accommodation. For shorter rentals a €20 fee applies.

Can someone else drive too?

Yes, you can add an extra driver during booking. The extra driver must also be at least 23 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.

What is the minimum rental period?

The minimum rental period is 4 days. All cars are rented with unlimited mileage.

Can I cancel for free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, bookings can be changed or cancelled free of charge up to at least 48 hours before arrival. If you paid online, we refund the full amount.

What about fuel?

The car is delivered with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. If not returned full, we charge a €30 service fee plus the cost of the missing fuel.

Where should I park the car at night?

During evening and nighttime hours, park the car in a safe location: a secured property, a supervised parking lot or another demonstrably safe location.

How can I pay?

Online you pay securely via Stripe with iDEAL, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. After payment you instantly receive a confirmation and invoice by e-mail.
